Getting a pool had been a dream for years, but we kept putting it off while researching different options and installers . After comparing several one-piece pool companies, we chose XL Pools, and it’s been one of the best investments we’ve made. The quality of the pool is excellent, but what has impressed us most is the impact it’s had on our family. We spend more time together, the kids absolutely love it, and our garden has become a place where everyone wants to be. A big thank you to Jack for guiding us through the process and making everything straightforward, and Marc for seeing the project through. Great product, great service, and a genuinely local company that cares about its customers.

XL Pools have been incredibly thorough and professional throughout the entire process. We considered several one-piece pool installers, but were ultimately convinced by both the quality of the pool and the quality of the people behind the business. Everything they promised was delivered. They made sure we fully understood the inclusions and exclusions from the beginning and were transparent throughout the entire project. The finished pool is fantastic, and we’re extremely happy with our decision.

We thought long and hard before deciding to install a pool in our garden,: Firstly because of the costs involved and secondly the disruption caused to the garden during the excavation and subsequent landscaping. There are two obvious names which crop up when researching the industry.: Xl Pools and Compass Pools For many reasons we decided to choose XL Pools. Xl Pools are a family run business based in Ashford. They have a wealth of experience designing and installing swimming pools.They have a small experienced team who are fabulous to work with. Anthony Exell who owns the Company is very personable and often "hands on." His daughter Maddison runs and co-ordinates the office in Ashford. His Production Director, Marc Cernis, amongst other things, discusses design, layout and the work schedule. The excavation for our pool started in May last year and was completed in July. The worst part was the excavation, which if the weather is poor, is to say at the least "messy". Every issue we had during the build was dealt with and followed through. We have now had two wonderful Summer's swimming in our pool and are so pleased that we decided to have one installed. All credit to XL Pools for making the experience such fun and fulfilling our expectations.

I’ve been delighted with the services provided by XL Pools since the first conversation we had 3 years ago, the installation and ongoing maintenance services. They have provided a quality service, the installation was completed when I requested it and they delivered it on time and kept the site tidy and organised. I was especially pleased with the paving installation. The product choice was good and they got me the colour I wanted on time. It’s a high quality pool that has been easy to maintain. Since the installation, maintenance has been good and they provide a flexible service schedule that meets my needs. Overall it’s been an excellent experience.

We moved (in 2025) to XL Pools for our general pool maintenance and regular servicing after 10 (eventful) years with Waterstream / Compass Pools the original pool installer (and manufacturer). The team at XL Pools have been fantastic at supporting us during the transfer; we’ve now had the pool closed, winter checks completed, pool opened, and a few regular visits completed without issues, hassle, or the need to chase! We’ve also had a few outstanding issues (left over from the previous maintenance company) addressed too!

It’s over 10 years since Tony and team installed our pool and it still looks great and is a pleasure to use. After sales service is excellent and Chris continues to visit to open, clean and close our pool each season. We continue to use XL to supply products and on the rare occasions we have had any technical issues the team prioritise visits to keep the pool running through the season. Would happily recommend XL for anyone thinking of installing a pool or has a servicing need.

Impressed from start to finish by the professionalism of this company. Everything was done when they said it would be, and nothing was too much trouble, even now after the pool build, they keep in contact to make sure we are happy. All the staff knew exactly what they were doing, and worked really hard with little or no mess, you would not know from the garden that we have had a pool installed! Thanks everyone for a lovely job!
